About me

Michael Paris currently serves as Vice President for Workforce Development for the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In a nutshell, Michael’s objectives at the Chamber are to help align education initiatives with the needs of current and prospective employers.

Before starting the position in May 2008, Michael spent nine years recruiting hard-to-fill positions in healthcare which included administrators, managers, physicians, nurses, therapists, pharmacists and many more. He was working at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma before accepting the position as Vice President for Workforce Development.

Prior to his healthcare recruiting experience, Michael worked in higher education for ten years in which his last position was Director of Admissions at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.

Michael serves on the Region 9 P-16 Council, United Way early childhood development committee, Communities in Schools after school advisory committee and is a member of the Chancel Choir at the First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas. He lives in Wichita Falls with his wife and their three children.
