I don't watch a lot of television, but the concept of "CEO Undercover" intrigued me, so after the Super Bowl, I watched the premiere of this new series. I really liked it.
I'm not a big fan of reality programs, but the premise of a CEO trying to find out what really happens in his (and hopefully at some point, her) company on the front lines is just too good to pass up. I'm sure there was a lot of editing done, but the final point was that sometimes things are happening that shouldn't and some of the decisions made at the top have unintended consequences in the work lives of the employees. So, get out of your office and look/listen to your employees. You don't have to be in a huge company for you to lose touch with what's going on.
We'll hope that the Department of Labor investigators don't start watching the program--at least one labor law violation was highlighted in the first show. The CEO put a stop to the practice when he discovered it, but what he found happens all the time (and worse.)
Anyway, I'm hooked and am looking forward to the revelations awaiting the Hooters CEO on Sunday night.
I watched too and liked it. The one coming up this Sunday should be very interesting. Thanks for the reminder, as of today I had forgotten to make plans to see it.
